STUDIES OF X-RAY SOURCE VARIABILITY USING RXTE-ASM

Abstract. Temporal variability behavior from long-term light curves obtained with the All-Sky Monitor (ASM) on board the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) is reviewed. The ASM light curves show a wide variety of phenomena. Some results of searches for periodicities in the ASM light curves from X-ray binaries are presented.
