This is the home page of the section Astronomy of the Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IAAT) of the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen. The IAAT is part of the Faculty for Mathematics and Physics and consists of two sections: section Astronomy (AIT = Astronomy in Tübingen) and section Theoretical Astrophysics and Computational Physics (TAT = Theoretical Astrophysics Tübingen). The section Astronomy was founded in 1949 as the Astronomisches Institut Tübingen. The Institute is part of the Kepler Center for Astro and Particle Physics.
