Abstract. We present FUSE observations of the PG 1159-type central star of the planetary nebula K1-16 (Teff=140.000 K) covering the wavelength region 900-1188Å. Surprisingly, no Fe VII lines are detected. A preliminary analysis with a new set of metal line blanketed model atmospheres suggests an iron deficiency of 1-2 dex, however, detailed error estimates still need to be performed. We shortly discuss dust fractionation and s-process neutron-captures as origins for the possible iron-deficiency. We also announce the first identification of sulfur in a PG 1159 star.Key words: -
