Abstract. The first decade of the Virtual Observatory (VO) built up services and tools for data conservation, handling, processing, analysis, etc. A new challenge in the immensely growing VO in operation is continuous quality control at different authority levels. Here we shed light on various aspects of theoretical white dwarf spectra that are provided via the registered TheoSSA VO service. We present benchmark tests that enable the VO user to judge their quality.
