Abstract. We present preliminary results of an ongoing spectral analysis of K 648, the central star of the planetary nebula Ps 1, by means of state-of-the-art model-atmosphere techniques using TMAP, the Tübingen NLTE Model Atmosphere Package.
Based on high-resolution, high-S/N (F)UV observations obtained with the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) and the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) on board the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), we aim to determine the effective temperature, surface gravity, and abundances of trace elements precisely.
