All these files may be found as well at

Please note the following points.

Do not define macros. No $\backslash$def or $\backslash$newcommand statements are allowed.

Do not adjust margins. Make sure that all parts of your paper (in particular figures and tables) fit within the margins.

Pay attention to the references and putting them in the correct style. This is typical A&A, ApJ, and PASP style which is different from that used, e.g., in MNRAS.

Figures must be submitted in electronic form. We strongly prefer encapsulated PostScript (.eps) format.

Submission Procedure

Papers are to be submitted electronically via FTP.
You need to connect to our host 134.2.76.123. For security reasons you have to use a FTP client which allows the use of the so-called passive mode (PASV mode). Clients allowing the use of this mode are most web-browsers (e.g. netscape), web offline readers (e.g. wget), and modern FTP programs (e.g. ncftp, mirror or FTP Explorer for Windows NT machines). If you don't know how to switch your client to passive mode, then look at
http://astro.uni-tuebingen.de/software/ftpsetup.shtml

Here is an example for the login procedure:

ncftp -u hydef07 134.2.76.123

password: to be found in your conference folder

After login, you should be in the directory /hydef07, otherwise go to this directory by the command 'cd /hydef07'. Now create a directory based on your own name, e.g. 'mkdir kwerner' would create a directory called 'kwerner' for an author called Klaus Werner. Then the LaTeX file and any graphics files should be transferred to this directory. Use file names also based on the author's name. Here is an example for the upload of your files:

mkdir kwerner
cd kwerner
put kwerner.tex
put kwerner01.eps
put kwerner02.eps

... etc. for each file, then log out.

Finally, send an e-mail to to confirm the submission. In case of any problems, do not hesitate to contact us at the same e-mail address.
